To everyone’s shock, their computers would not turn on. Commotion began to pick up as everyone tried pulling out their phones which also were not turning on. Thomas saw the look of worry and fear grow on all of their faces and as they all turned to him as a source of help. This was the first time that the Mintel Network had ever been down in its entire history, therefore people were not prepared for this kind of thing to happen. Additionally, if the network was down here then it was down everywhere else in the world as well because it was all connected.

Thomas was faced with the same anxiety that his students were as so many questions circled in his head. How long would the network be down for? How would he go about teaching without the network? Who was going to fix it?
