It seemed odd to Thomas that he still had not received his new Mini-phone because he thought that as a state employee he would have preference over teenagers. He couldn’t get this off his mind as he set up his classroom for the start of the school day, arranging desks and chairs in the way that he liked. When he heard the first bell ring his heart stopped; he hadn’t even opened his Mini-computer to check which students were enrolled and look over the information he planned on discussing with his first group of students.
